Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ECOGRAM ("we", "us") collects when you use our mobile app or website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ECOGRAM you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

ECOGRAM is operated by HN Organic Firm Private Limited, Assam, India. For any privacy question, write to support@ecogram.store.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the marketplace.

• Account information — name, email, password (stored as a salted hash), phone number, and delivery address.
• Role-specific information — vendors and distributors provide a business name and address; wholesale-business accounts additionally provide PAN and GST numbers for tax compliance.
• Order and bid history — items, quantities, prices, delivery address, status, and any bids you place in auctions.
• Content you upload — product photos and similar files uploaded by vendors.
• Device and usage data — basic technical logs (IP address, request timestamps, error reports) used to keep the service running and diagnose problems.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos beyond what you choose to upload, or any biometric data.

3. How we use it

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To process and deliver orders, including sharing your name, phone and address with the vendor and distributor fulfilling that order.
• To verify business credentials (PAN, GST) before granting wholesale access.
• To enforce our Terms — preventing fraud, spam, and policy violations.
• To send transactional notifications (order updates, application status, bid confirmations) by email or in-app message. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in.
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• The vendor whose product you ordered (name, phone, address — for fulfilment).
• The distributor who ships the order to you (same).
• Service providers who host our backend or send transactional email, under contracts that restrict their use of the data to providing the service.
• Authorities, when required by a valid legal process.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Once you delete your account (see section 7), we remove your profile and any data we no longer need within 30 days. We may retain order, tax, and PAN/GST records for up to 8 financial years where Indian tax law requires it.

6. Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes and never as plain text. Connections to our servers use TLS. Access to administrative tools is restricted to authorised personnel. No system is perfect — if we ever experience a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you in line with applicable law.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access and correction — view and edit your profile from the app's Account tab.
• Account deletion — submit a request at ecogram.store/delete-account. We confirm deletion within 7 business days. Records required for legal compliance (taxes, fraud prevention) may be retained as described in section 5.
• Withdraw consent — uninstall the app and request deletion to stop processing.
• Complaint — write to support@ecogram.store. If you're unsatisfied, you may contact the relevant data protection authority.

8. Children

ECOGRAM is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please email support@ecogram.store and we will delete it.

9. Cookies and local storage

The website uses only the local storage required to render pages — we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The app stores your authentication token locally on the device so you don't have to log in every time; clearing app data removes it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you in-app. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated policy.
